Collab365 MicroJobs is closing down
After a lot of deliberation, I wanted to share some news that's really hard to write:
Collab365 MicroJobs will be closing down at the end of 2020.
Although MicroJobs generated a lot of interest, traffic and deep conversations, very few resulted in platform sales.
In the market in which we operate, it became clear that buyers prefer to manage payment "off-platform" rather than by utilising the secure payment, invoicing and dispute management flow we built into MicroJobs.
I know many of you really wanted this service to succeed as much as us, so I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your all support and encouragement.
What are the next steps?
MicroJobs will be following a phased shutdown plan to allow in-flight work and transactions to complete. If you already have a Buyer or Freelancer account, you will be contacted directly with more details.
How can we continue to help you?
If you're a Freelancer, add your services to our Collab365 Directory. We will be redirecting all of the traffic to that site, so it's worthwhile listing.
If you're looking to hire a Freelancer, be sure to check out this page as we will be actively encouraging Freelancers to add their list.
What's happening to Collab365 in 2021 and beyond?
In spite of this announcement, at Collab365 we are really excited about the future:
- We've just completed our best year of virtual summits by welcoming over 50,000 people.
- We've released a new course on Microsoft Teams Administration.
- In 2021, we will also be releasing our brand new "collaborative learning platform" called 365ers.
Once again, thanks for reading and behalf of the team, we wish you a wonderful 2021!
